Sequential Art / Comic Book Workshop
David G. Brown instructor The overall goal of this workshop is to provide an environment that will nurture creativity, self expression and advance the artistic skills of the participates. Whenever possible working toward a common objective, like the Tales from the Kids, comic book series, which will showcase talent and practical application of their skills. Suggested age group 14 thur 19. PRIMARY EMPHASIS
1. BASIC DRAWING, WITH EMPHASIS ON THE HUMAN FIGURE
2. CHARACTER DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
3. STORY TELLING THROUGH SEQUENTIAL ART
4. DRAWING STYLES, TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES
5. LAYOUT AND PAGE DESIGN
6. PRODUCTION AND PRINTING PROCESSES
SECONDARY EMPHASIS
1. GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF ART AND COMIC ART INDUSTRIES
2. PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT, COLLEGE PREPARATION A CAREER OPTIONS
